reVision

reVision

I like the prefix “re.” It means to do again, start over, to make up, to make new….just think about it…
Re- mind -- to tell someone again what you had told them once before…isn’t that a blessing for those of us who are forgetful!

Re-do – to do again…thank goodness for redos – I need them a lot.

Re-visit – to go back again. This is particularly good if it is to a place that is truly decadent.
You get the idea….”re” is a saving grace for those like me who tend to need a lot of “re’s” in life.

That is the reason I picked the name “reVision” for my women’s ministry.
Re-vision  -- to get a new lease on life, to redesign an identity that is NOT based on past mistakes or failures….

A purpose redefined, a passion reignited, a possibility rediscovered.
This is my mission, my passion, my purpose. I want each and every person, women especially, to reVise their life….to have the greatest possible life.

reVision – For me, reVision came after the darkest time in my life….when I was serving time as part of the Indiana Department of Correction. During that time, God opened up my heart and mind, and with His loving hand, He revised my life.
Because Jesus died on the cross, a revised life is available to all of us….no matter how much revising we need.

For God loved the world that He gave His only son for whoever believes in will not die but have everlasting life….
Did you catch the “whoever” part?  That means all of us have the option.

As I share with you the meaning behind reVision, let me share with you my vision….
First, as I said before, I want each woman to have permission to revise their life. The idea to accomplishing that is to offer my voice, experience and heart through speaking engagements…..such as conferences, meetings, conferences, seminars, etc.

Second, I hope to offer some practical training on how to gain the skills to develop the life people want to have. That is through a select group of speaking/teaching topics packaged together under “reFocus.”
There are some other outlets that will be used as well….internet social networking, videos, books, webinars….you get the point.

reVision is a passion of mine…after witnessing how my own life was revised, I don’t ever want to go back to the first draft.  I want to offer the same chance to others.
I share this with you so that you know my heart. I share this with you so that you will know how you can help.  You can share my passion with other women. You can pass along this website to others who might need an encouraging word, a helpful hint, an inspired teaching.

And, if you or someone you know should ever need a speaker, please keep me in mind.
Here’s to the “re’s” of life and to the possibilities that await us when we choose to be revised.

  1. "First drafts" serve a purpose, but they certainly don't have to be the end of the story. ;)

Thanks for participating in Work at Home Weekend, Christie! It is great to meet you.
