The last blog I posted I shared I was struggling with juggling new responsibilities at work and keeping up on personal goals. As I thought about that blog post this week, I remembered a very successful business woman and mother who once said, "you've gotta mix it all up."
Her meaning was this....sometimes you gotta be a business woman doing work while you are sitting at a kids ball game or waiting in the car to pick them up from school.
Now, I know not all of our jobs allow for this....but the sentiment is the same even if you fill in the blanks with other things.....
Example....making dinner can be a normal "mom" responsibility, but can also be a chance to create a memory with your kids if they put on an apron and help.
I was reminded of this in an interview I had today.
I was busy with work and had to go to an interview today. Because the gal I was meeting is a mom, we decided to meet at the library so her cutie pie daughter could play in the children's area.
She shared about her work with the town's park....which was why I was there and was part of my work. But as the interview ended, we started sharing on a more personal record. Come to find out, this gal was a Christian and through her ambition, she saw God work in little ways.
Her exact words were "little miracles".....she said she saw God working in little miracles throughout her project. I sat there...inspired by her story and at the same time realizing that I was "mixing it up."
There I was working on a story, but at the same time getting to meet this woman and share a bit of my story while listening to hers. I walked away knowing that even in the middle of crazy to-do lists and schedules that sometimes seem impossible, God can still show up in the little miracles.
The best part....we don't have to schedule them or make time for them....we just have to take notice of them.
