It's time for God's promises

Every day it seems there is something or someone confirming the timeliness of this study. As I read and study scripture, the Holy Spirit keeps pushing my heart toward the power that is available to us when we choose to live with an unshakeable faith in the promises of God.

My church is going through a series on Sunday that speaks to the amazing life God has for us all and the breakthrough He wants to give us. This week, as I sat listening to the message, I found myself so excited about the possibilites for those who will surrender to the truth...who will breakthrough...who will receive release and be renewed and restored in all areas of their lives.

Ladies, if you are reading this and you are weighed down by life...if you are carrying a burden of pain, hurt or disappointment...if a mediocre, stagnate lifestyle has zapped you of your joy...then this series is for you!  God's promises are the antidote to all that I just described.

Promises are in God's nature. He only knows how to promise and deliver. He is not a God of let downs, He's not the sovereign God of so-so, He is not the ruler of hurdles and holding back. Just read through the Psalms and you will read words that describe God with such magnitude.  That is the God who is going to deliver on the promise.....doesn't that stir your soul?  Aren't you chomping at the bit to get a hold of it? Isn't it time to leap out of what has held you back and run -- no, race-- into the greatness He has specifically designed you for.

All that you just read is possible. It is not churchy mumbo jumbo. All that you just read exists to be yours -- because God promised it.

Hebrews 6:17-18 "So when God desired to show more convincingly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable character of his purpose, he gauranteed it with an oath, so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us."

Did you see that God promises to reveal to us His promises..."to show more convincingly." He wants you to know Him and His promises.

In Hebrews 6:18 it says we are "heirs to the promise..." It's ours, they belong to us because we are God's heirs. Our identity is tied to the promises of God. Isn't it time to live that way? Aren't you ready for the boldness, the confidence and the excitement that comes from a promise filled life?

God promises He is always there for us (dealing with fear)
God promises He has got it under control (dealing with doubt)
God promises He has good things for us (dealing with hopelessness)
God promises He is watching out for us (dealing with condemnation)
God promises victory (dealing with failure)

Get ready...jump in...bring someone with you...we are going to revolutionize the year..starting with one promise at a time.
